Childhood Sweetheart (II)
|| A Different ♥ Story. We were made to believe that True Love exists, and that Happily Ever After was the prize after every hardship that happened to us. But how long can you hold on, before everything you believe had turned wrong. That True Love was actually the price to pay, and that Happily Ever After wasnt so much of a prize anymore. They were childhood sweethearts, as simple as that. They were never apart, always together. Be it playing in the mud, going to school together, pushing one another on the almost-broken swing, blowing bubbles at one another and sharing their most favourite thing on earth: Pancakes. They were always seen on top of the slope towards their home, holding hands and skipping around. Sometimes, he would help her tie her hair up with a red ribbon. Sometimes, she would fight with her other classmates when they talked badly about her Oppa. You could say they were destined to be together. They should be, dont you think so too? Kim Jong Woon. Eight. For now. Jong Woon was your typical weird kid on the block. He would always say the weirdest thing without blushing. Not because he was naughty, Jong Woon was just curious about everything and anything on earth. But putting all his weirdness aside, Jong Woon was a very sweet and smart child. He was always there to help others who were in need when they didnt reject him. He was strong, surprisingly, for his age. He may seem cold when you see him, but he was warm as a sun when you get to know him. Jong Woon had a nice voice when he was young. He would sometimes sing on his way home, causing all his neighbours to smile at such a lovely voice. Can be really stubborn at times when things dont go his way. Strikely good looking with black raven hair and a strong nose. Of course, no one really notices that when youre that young. His favourite pastime of all was to spend all his time with his cute little neighhour, Park Nana. Park Nana. Six. For now. Nana loves everything that are balloons and glittery. She likes colourful things too as well, which comes as a suprise when she hangs out often with the black and white Jong Woon. To Nana, Jong Woon was like her older brother, who was more important balloons and colour ribbons. He was like her sunshine on her sad day, her cool breeze on her hot summer night and her warmer during winter. She liked nothing more than spending time with her favourite oppa. Building sandcastles, jumping around. She vowed to never hurt him in any way, even though she didnt understand what was going on. She was childish, immature and very naive. But what more can you expect from a six year old. So what happens when she accidentally hurt him and did not know of it? Nana likes dancing, shes very flexible as her parents sent her for ballet lessons. || Authors Note.Hi everyone! Its been a long while. It was a beautiful day in Spring, just a few weeks before Summer arrives. The trees that were once bare had slowly began growning their leaves. The snow had melted and all thats left of winter was the cooling breeze that brushed against many faces. The streets were beautified with the colour flowers and its lovely fragrance. It was the perfect season for love to blossom regardless of age; old or young. In this small part of the town in South Korea, two kids were running up the slope towards their home when the little girl accidentally fell down. Her jacket was smeared with soil. Her face and hair was in a mess. There was sweat and dirt on her cheeks as well and her knee was slight scraped. She groaned in pain and forced herself to not cry. Beside her, the little boy turned back when he noticed the little girl missing. He looked down and saw she was holding onto her knee and biting her lips. His heart hurt. Why? He quickly went forward and bent down, telling her to get onto his back instead. She did accordingly and hugged his neck tightly. He almost couldnt breathe. Almost. The little boy started running while looking at his Power Ranger watch. They were late, really late in fact. For tea-time and snacks. The little girl rested her head comfortable on his and left the wind blowing against her sweaty face. She could hear her oppas strong panting and thought inside her mind how sorry she was for troubling him. She thought of asking him to let her down and she could walk instead. But before she could say out that thought, she found herself in front of her house with two angry mothers staring at them with their hands on their waist. If outsiders hadnt know them, they would have thought the two mothers were sisters or even twins. The fake-fierce expression on their face were almost identical. As they slowly walked down their path towards the gate, they saw Nanas knee bleeding and immediately ran forward. And with their loud voice joined together, they shouted for the whole neighbour to hear. "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BOTH OF YOU?!" The little girl slowly climbed down the little boys back. He used his free hand to wipe away the sweat pouring from his face. The little girl limped towards her mother. Her mother took one look at her and wiped the dirt off her daughters face and took the leaves out of her hair. As she looked the injured knee, she sighed loudly and looked at her daughter. "Nana, what happened? Why are you all dirty and bleeding?" "Its my fault Imo. I had to stay back in school for a while to help my teacher carry her worksheets. And Nana was waiting for me. She fell down because of me because we were running too fast. Im sorry." The little boy was bowing when Nana ran said otherwise. "No omma! It wasnt Jong Woon oppas fault. I was playing with the flowers in the park and didnt want to leave. I fell down because I wasnt looking at where I was running too. Its not oppas fault. He rushed out because of me. Dont scold him omma! Mianhae Imo! Oppa had to carry me up the slope, hes already tired, please dont punish him..." "No no its my fault, not Nanas." "No its my fault oppa!" The two kids start bickering around as to whose fault it was. In all honesty, their mothers wasnt even angry at them. They were just surprised thats all. Maybe that had over-raised their voice but it was because they were worried. They had no intention of scolding or punishing anyone. By right, they should set their children straight. But upon hearing their kids bicker, the two ladies decide to just let them argue around. It was too adorable to watch. They started giggling as they saw one of them pouting, one of them frowning. The kids heard their mothers giggling and turned to see what was happening. The ladies had thought and speculated hundred of times that their children would grow up together and get married. Of course, they wouldnt understand it but their parents held onto that hope. "Omma, Imo.. Are you still angry with us?" The mothers laughed. "Of course not. We wont want to punish the two that made us so happy. Come on, lets go in Nana and wash up your knee. Jong Woon should go home as well. Come to our house for snacks later. Bring Jong Jin as well." Jong Woon didnt move though, he went up to Nanas mother and asked if he could accompany Nana to clean her wounds instead because hes worried for her. The mothers squealed in delight. Jong Woons mother ruffled her sons hair. The two kids looked at one another. Confused. "My my, arent you two sweetest little sweethearts?"
