Greed
Luhan - The wife. Sehun - The husband. ForewordIt seemed like time flew by so fast. One day they were wearing suits in a ballroom - drinking the finest wine the bartender offered. Another day, they were dusting the jeans they were using for days - waiting for the train that was yet to come. They lost everything. He lost the money. Only one sin could explain the empty pockets. Greed. Sehun turned into a greedy man. Luhan always told him that suit and tie wont pay the bills. But the power of money was overwhelming, even love couldnt stop it. Gambling was a daily routine in Sehuns life. All he cared about was money. 2 years ago, when he was on one knee, holding the ring up to Luhans eye level, he was different. It took him 6 months to save up for that special ring. The sudden change in economy was kind to Sehun that year. Sehun could buy Luhan all the rings he wanted. But now, all Luhan wanted was a hug. Or maybe even a peck. Luhan always told Sehun to stop gambling. But all Sehun said was, "its just a hobby, nothing else." With a crooked smile like his, how could Luhan disagree? Day by day, Luhan got lonely. Sehun would spend nights in the casino. Either trying to recover the money he lost, or getting more than what he targeted. Luhan could never get Sehuns phone. Even if he picked up, he would just leave a simple message. The days where Sehun came back are the days he would be drunk. Sehun would cry on Luhans shoulder. Sehuns jacket would smell like cigarette smoke but he didnt care. He didnt care that he lost the money. All he ever cared about was Sehun, not his bad habits, just Sehun. Luhan would soothe his husband with his words until he fell asleep. Each tear Sehun shed, Luhan was there to wipe it off. But Sehun didnt change. Not until Luhan was diagnosed with cancer.
