In the midst of a war, Baekhyun harbours the guilt of every death on his shoulders.  Rating: PG but with adult themes Length: 2.3kGenre: War!au, a bit angsty [soldiers!chanbaek -- technically a hidden relationship but we dont really get to see much of it, no pun intended heheh]Warnings: mentions of war, violence, death of a minor character (Kris)   I wrote this a very long time ago, back in May 2016. This was around the time when I first started writing in the 3rd person, so I guess this was practise of some kind -- as before I only tended to write in 1st for my original stories etc. I never really intended to share this anywhere because its literally tiny, only 2,300 words, but I just reread it and thought, hey, its not so bad xDI have tweaked it a little from the time when I first wrote it. Because it was practise, my pov was a little mishmash and switched in a few places between Baekhyun and Chanyeol, so now its just Baekhyuns pov (which is a little rare for me considering I write from Chanyeols pov most often, probably just so I get to describe the beauty of Baekhyun hahahaha~).This is supposed to be set in WW1 but none of the characters are allocated to a certain country/side. Also, because this was me simply getting to grips with the 3rd person, I didnt do any research for writing this so there may be some inaccuracies which I will ask you to forgive me for. I remember that I wanted to take this idea further and make it into a fic somehow but I couldnt think of a plot. I still cant, so yeah, thats not happening xD This little oneshot shall remain as it is, and I think it works like this.
