A Forgotten Promise
There are times when you wish the time would stop. A special time that you would always cherish the most will always be remembered. But what if you forgotten it all? Foreword “Do you remember how I kneeled down on my knees and reached out for your hand at the very same spot we’re at now?” his voice seems to sound shaky, talking and questioning me with a heavy heart. As I looked down, I shut my eyes tightly and tried to recall the day. I was trying so hard to remember the exact same date as he mentioned. I vision myself in a long champagne-coloured off-shoulder dress, a very proper half-tied hairdo with my bangs being braided to the sides of my head. I can see him smiling so happily after seeing me. I did not manage to really recall what happened afterwards as he stepped closer to me. As I came back to reality to see him with my pair of eyes, my legs were numb and my vision was pitched black. He responded quickly and managed to grab me before I fell onto the ground. He hugged me tightly and stroked my hair. “Please forgive me Alice. I didn’t mean to hurt you. Stop thinking about it. Forget everything I’ve said for now. Jebal.” Tears started to fall from his eyes as he embraced my face. It feels like I’ve known him for such a very long time but…. When?
