Summary:

“Cry. Forgive. Learn. Move on. Let your tears water the seeds of your future happiness.” ForewordThe main character of this story is Yamamoto Hiroshi, a homeless man content with his current lifestyle, at least, until he meets a small child named Manabu.  I played with time in this story, as the events take place over the course of a week.  The dialogue had to be very peculiar, and I tried to capture the innocence of a child.  My story heavily depends on the dialogue. For those unfamiliar with Japanese, here are Japanese terms I used in this story:Manabu refers to Hiroshi as "Ji-chan", which is a shorter version of "ojisan", or uncle. In return, Hiroshi refers to Manabu as "Manabu-kun". "Kun" is a term you would use to address a boy, especially a young boy.Manabu refers to his mother as "Kaa-chan", which is a shorter version of "okaasan", or mother. An onigiri is a rice roll, and a senbei is a sort of cracker.Manabu refers to Maki, Hiroshis wife, as "Maki-obasan", "obasan" meaning aunty. All characters are original.  This story is for Easy Going Writing Contest (x).
