Year 2036. Precisely, August 23rd, 2036.Oh Sungjong lives alone with the doll-like robots his father generated with human beings as base, following his legacy of continuing is fathers work, by "fixing" people and making them get back to life as doll-like, flawless robots, as if their soul was still with them.During his childhood, he never went out and always learned things at home with his father, whom he helped develop a more humanized system and with no flaws, due to his geniality and intelligence. Like that, when he was barely 15, Sungjong developed a robot, Sejoon, whod grow at the same time as he would, using the personality of some deactivated robot that used to babysitting his sister Olive when she was human.But the fact that he was constantly alone - with his doll sister Olive, his doll mother Melissa, his doll companions Jiseok and Jiho, his project Sejoon and her sisters doll friend Meridianne - led him into some need of meeting actual people, since he had no humans to interact with on his mansion by the shore.Unable to go out due to his security that only his dead father could deactivate, he created five robots, android dolls, that looked exactly like humans: Unit K, Unit L, Unit C, Unit P and Unit A, with the objective of tracking down males he used to know. It got known as Project 20360823 due to being started on August 23rd, of the year 2036.Like that, the five robots are not identified as being human nor robots due to a way more developed system and both follow diffent paths to bring them to Sungjong after they gain their trust.Unit K, programmed to be named Kim Jungwoo, went search for a male called Shin Jongkook he saw once near by his house, on the beach, and he got to interact with secretly. Unit L, called Lee Minhyuk, went search for some orphan Sungjong met, unaware of why he did, named Taeil. Unit C, Choi Sungmin went to track down some guy around Sungjongs age he met when he once ran away from home and ended up arrested for one night, during his puberty, named Yuhwan. Unit P, Park Kyung, went after Pyo Jihoon, someone Sungjong did acknowledge. And finally, Unit A, Ahn Jaehyo, did some research about someone else, Kim Yukwon, someone he got to randomly find in one of the days he did run away to have some fun, he stated.Why would he chase after them? Because he had nobody else. What was his objective? Find someone to rely on so he wouldnt be alone. Note: This story is not written nor started yet, the concept is purely inspired in some other contents such as the indie horror game Mad Father. Also I will start to publish it as soon as I finish The Council, to take a break of the story. Thanks for reading this. ForewordThe characters are spit into three groups of five, those excluding Oh Sungjong and his mother, who used to be human, Oh from her marriage with Sungjongs dead father, her single name being precisely Melanie Wei. The remaining characters are the iDolls and iDoll-ized, the perfectly designed androids, that, except for Sejoon, were created by Sungjongs father. The second group is exclusive to the iDoll Units created under the Project 20360823. And, finally, the remaining group is nothing but the Humans. Sᴜɴɢᴊᴏɴɢs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏOh Sungjong doesnt remember most of his childhood, he feels like most of his memories were erased, and, some, they even dont match. He was - as he was told - born as a baby conceived by a Korean researcher and robotics scientist, his father, and by a woman, half Chinese, half American. He has always been told by his now dead father that his mother was an actress and that he was fated to follow his legacy and keep on saving people, giving them a second chance of living - as robotic dolls. The world should be pacific and people shouldnt die because of others mistakes, and, Sungjong was the chosen, he would have said. Growing up was difficult for Sungjong, who have always wanted to go to the outside and have friends his age. The robots his father built or people he converted into androids were not enough. After all, he had no humans around him. Even his mother was now a robot. He doesnt even remember her being human. And, apparently, he had the mission to keep on going with his fathers Creator legacy. His creations are Project 1.0, Sejoon, and the Units under Project 20360823, A, C, L, K and P, amongside other robots he has stored as experiences, so as updates. He has also developed a robot who grows up like a human, until they reach the adult shape when he was a kid, during his puberty. Jiseok and Jiho were built, no, converted, under that system. Mᴇʟɪssᴀs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏMelissa Oh, or, in her original country, the big Chinese Imperium, Wei Mi Sung. She was supposed to be around her fourties now, but, evidences of her past dictacted it to be not like that. Its, that the red haired woman used, not only to have other hair color than red, but also breathe. Melissa gave birth to Olive, whom his father named Oh Hyewon as a Korean name. But, she also is Sungjongs mother. From whom she got to receive Sung as part of his name. Three years later, she mysteriously died and his father cried night and day to fix her. And, so he did. Sungjong has no memories of that but he knew his sister was around ten by then and she told him that their aboji found their mommy with her hair wet and dripping blood. Maybe that made the doll personating their mother choose to have a bloody red hair? Meanwhile Melissa was alive, she was an actress, and she was used often in action movies due to her extreme flexibility and her beauty, even if as human she wasnt as beautiful as she is now, as a doll. After five years without appearing, Melissa returned to Sungjong and Olive - who got ill and died - as an iDoll-ized human. iDᴏʟʟs ᴀɴᴅ iDᴏʟʟ-ɪᴢᴇᴅThe iDolls are those who have been created without taking any humans as base to create them, who have been idealized by their creator. iDoll-ized are those who used to live and, because its unfair for them to die according to their converter, have been turned into iDolls. Oʟɪᴠᴇs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏOlive, also called Oh Hyewon, is Sungjongs sister. By Sungjongs birth, she was already seven years old, but she died when she was almost eleven, victim of an illness she was unable to heal properly, after staying for one whole week locked up in her bedroom. After a while she has been turned into an iDoll but she has always stayed in a pre-teen body. Since Sungjongs grown-up development system was developed with his fathers help, when he was fifteen, she, supposed to be twenty two if she was alive, started to grow gradually, becoming younger than him, instead of older like she would have been. That makes Olive get trapped on her seventeens instead of being twenty seven by now. Mᴇʀɪᴅɪᴀɴɴᴇs FᴜɴᴄᴛɪᴏɴMeridianne has been designed to keep Olive some company. She has been made with base in Olive mothers childhood pictures and some random features his father has chosen as pleasing ones. Her personality has been built also as a shy yet vivid and nice girl, almost like some sort of perfect girl. She has been activated by Olives eight birthday, having a 13 years old body structure and face. She has been upgraded when Olive was, currently pursuing a nineteen years old body and face. She has been named Merida Anne Lee, which was Olives imaginary friend when she was little, later on called as Meridianne, a fusion of Merida and Anne. Jɪsᴇᴏᴋs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏWoo Jiseok was a boy Sungjongs father found alongside with his brother on the bay, near the privatized part of the shore that belonged to Sungjongs house. When he was found, he was a preteen, probably on his fourteens, and he has drowned while trying to save his younger brothers life from the other side of the shore, when a wave dragged them and, the younger being unable to sleep, only made the older one get dragged as well. After Sungjongs father captured the body, he has created a room where they both were councious and growing, in which each body was trapped so theyd live and grow, like some isolated container. When Sungjong made his discovery, his father turned them into iDolls, keeping their humanity and adding a whole protecting shell of technology to make their life more efficient, due to the advances of technology. By that time, Jiseok was almost nineteen. Jɪʜᴏs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏJiho has been found by Sungjongs father on the bay just like he found his brother Jiseok. By then Jiho was about ten years old, being Sungjongs age. While he was kept on the container just like Jiseok was, Sungjong went several times to talk with the other boy, feeling like he was one of the few humans around him. Because Jiseok was older and going through his puberty, he would rather talk with the younger boy. Jiho was turned into an iDoll at the age of fourteen. Pʀᴏᴊᴇᴄᴛ 1.0 - Sᴇᴊᴏᴏɴs FᴜɴᴄᴛɪᴏɴSejoon has been created by Sungjong with the system he has developed, but not with the function of being just another doll. Sejoon is the first robot to acquire knowledge as time goes by, simulating the brain of a human and all the skills a human has. He was created to protect Olive and the other iDolls from the electronic systems that could damage them as well, tracking them down easily just like a scientist would. Later on, Sungjong programmed him to descodify codes he was not able to read through math calculations or any other scientific resources, sort of being Sungjongs database and lab helper. But his main function was to be Sungjongs confident and friend. Pʀᴏᴊᴇᴄᴛ 20360823s iDᴏʟʟsProject 20360823 was developed by Sungjong and finished on that exact day, when five iDolls were designed to track down five humans Sungjong met during his escapes to the outer world, all over his city, in different times of his life. Once their mission is over, they are designed to be deactivated. iDᴏʟʟ Uɴɪᴛ As FᴜɴᴄᴛɪᴏɴUnit A, Ahn Jaehyo was created by Sungjong to track down a guy Sungjong met during his puberty on a club in downtown. As result, Unit A is programmed to become a bartender and track down the guy, according to Sungjongs memories, memories that Jaehyo has inside of his drive disk, where he keeps his memories. As an iDoll hidden in between civilization, Unit A is some quite cocky guy but who tends to be nice and who has to fulfill his mission: track down Kim Yukwon and bring him to the base. iDᴏʟʟ Uɴɪᴛ Cs FᴜɴᴄᴛɪᴏɴChoi Sungmin, formally known as Unit C, is in charge of tracking down other male Sungjong has found during his teens and his rebellion days, on a cell, back when Sungjongs father called the police to report his son missing, and he was found with that exact boy, who just got to speak with him, explain him where to go and help him run away from the prision that was his life. According to Sungjong and the other guy - Yuhwans witnesses, he got to be set free, after all they were both the same age by then. Unit C, Sungmin, has the mission to track him down... and he will probably start off with the police records, wont he? iDᴏʟʟ Uɴɪᴛ Ks FᴜɴᴄᴛɪᴏɴHis name is Unit K, Kim Jungwoo. And his function is to track down someone Sungjong saw as a kid on the beach, with whom he went play, by swimming to the other side of the shore on his water wings and inflatable buoy. That kid was Shin Jongkook, who he has to track so he can find how he was able to pass through his fathers security systems or how he did see the other, considering that he has bushes and a brick wall stopping other people to invade his house or his personal beach. iDᴏʟʟ Uɴɪᴛ Ls FᴜɴᴄᴛɪᴏɴLee Minhyuk, Unit L, has the legacy to track down an orphan Sungjong once met, most probably going to check on the orphanage first, due to the guy being slightly older than Sungjong. The guys name is Taeil and that was an orphan from an orphanage on the perifery, raised by buddhas on a house just for boys. Unit Ls mission wont be easy but he will eventually succeed, and, when he does, he has to proof to the other that he knows Sungjong. iDᴏʟʟ Uɴɪᴛ Ps FᴜɴᴄᴛɪᴏɴUnit P has the mission to track down Pyo Jihoon, someone Sungjong just casually met once, but, he doesnt remember where he does. It has been more than one time when they met but the space reference is always null. He never really has the clue where it all was. He has met him during his childhood only but he has a clear face on his mind. Unit P, Park Kyung, has the most difficult legacy from the  five Units, so, the others will join him as they finish their jobs. HᴜᴍᴀɴsThe humans are those who clearly have nothing to do with the iDolls laboratory nor are related to it. They dont akwnowledge any of it and the only way they know Sungjong is from his rebellion moments, when he went out of his house and ran away to try to have his own piece of freedom. Oʀᴘʜᴀɴ Bᴏʏs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏChronologically, Taeil was the first boy to meet Sungjong out of the few friends he has made. Taeil was an orphan boy Sungjong saw once abandoned and with whom he has interacted, cheering him up. In fact, that orphan boy was lost on his own, and it was snowing. But all they both did remember for sure was his parents calling him over and Sungjong leaving, pulled by Olive, who came to his rescue, sort of. He still had that face on his mind like he had seen him more that once. Maybe begging in the street for some money to go buy food, the poor boy? He couldnt tell but that face was definitely familiar. Jᴏɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ - Bᴇᴀᴄʜ Bᴏʏs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏShin Jongkook and Sungjong met once when he went swim with his sister and her robot babysitter and none of them noticed the toddler escaping to the other side to reach a boy his age, slightly older, that was building a castle in the sand and making a fortress with his own hands. Chronologically, that corresponds to the second person he has met. And, he does remember he has told the other he had robots living in his house, and the other cried and replied that he preferred having nobody but his mom on his house. By then the boys were five, six, seven, both of them. And that, Sungjong has never forgotten because he has promised to himself hed find why his only friend has cried. Jɪʜᴏᴏɴs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏThe next one Sungjong has known was Pyo Jihoon, a younger guy, and all he phisically remembered was the boy stealing money from a public fountain on a park. That was one of the times he lost himself while going to the big city with his mother. But also, he has met him not only that time, but also other times. Leaving a certain bottle with a message tied to the same tree branch on the same park, there was Sungjong when he could. He only did that four times and they met those four time in different, distorted locations and did play around, but even if he didnt remind the other well he knew the other certainly reminded him. Yᴜᴋᴡᴏɴ - Tʜᴇ Cʟᴜʙ Aᴄǫᴜᴀɪɴᴛᴀɴᴄᴇs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏSungjong has met Yukwon when he first went out, taking his robots along to be less notorious that he was alone. Still, he noticed the guys loneliness and went talk to him. And thats how Yukwon and Sungjong met, both fifteen, sixteen rebellions trying to make more friends and act cool. After that moment, none of them has ever met again but Sungjong still think that the others friendly grin was something he should look for now that he was looking for friends - and answers. Yᴜʜᴡᴀɴ - Cᴇʟʟ Cᴏᴍᴘᴀɴɪᴏɴs BᴀᴄᴋsᴛᴏʀʏBoth Yuhwan and Sungjong were caught up into the same destiny of being arrested for no apparent reason. Well, Yuhwan was accused from deviating and corrupting Sungjong and Sungjong ran away from his own home - like he did every night, but that night he took longer and fell asleep somewhere after getting tired to the extent of falling asleep around some stranger like Yuhwan. Still, Sungjong has been told by Yuhwan, who was supposed to having a gaming night after a birthday - and because of that he was allowed to stay out of his house and thats why he went out with his friends - that he was supposed to go home before his parents got worried.  And thats how they eventually met.
